We believe obsession is a completely valid business plan. So Noyd's builds premium pedals the long way, refusing to settle on the circuit, the parts, the artwork, or the supply chain. Excessive by every measure, because every unit is built like it's the one that gets famous.
We build pedals to outlast civilization itself. When the dust settles, three things will have survived the nuclear winter: cockroaches, gas station pastries, and Noyd's pedals. Somewhere, a six-legged guitar tech will hold one up to the light and whisper, "They don't make 'em like this anymore." They'll be right, and we won't be around to hear it.
It all started around 2006 with a "sure, I'll mod your Screamer." And it only escalated from there. A few dozen projects later, and it's 2012 already. Specifically, December 21, 2012. The Mayans had the world ending, but we weren't hoarding toilet paper. We were biasing JFETs, because if the world was going out, it was going out with harmonically rich mids. When the apocalypse flaked, we took it as a hint: the universe wanted more pedals.
The world didn't end that night, but something began. We preserved the moment with the reverence it deserved: wrote it down on premium paper, filed it in the special drawer, and forgot which drawer until 2017.
We've been making pedals ever since, for old friends and new.
One pedal is shipping right now. Four more are in the pipeline, learning manners.
